Neutrogena Deep Clean Micellar Gel to Foam Cleanser: A new addition to my skin care, It is very gentle and great for dry skin.

La Roche Posay Purifying Foaming Gel : I use it during spring and summer when my skin is not so dry.  It does not strip my skin and even remove my makeup. Although it is recommended for oily skin but still it works well on my combination skin.

Highlighters Review - The Balm Mary lou manizer, Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector and Tarte Amazonian Clay highlighter Exposed

These are my top three high end highlighters. All of them are creamy, pigmented and last for long time on my cheeks.  Here is a quick comparison of these three highlighters.

Swatches from left to right
The Balm Marylumizer, Becca Shimmering Skin Serfector, and Tarte Amazonian Clay highlighter in Exposed

The Balm Mary Lou Manizer: A pale highlighter, gives subtle glow, perfect for everyday use.

Becca Shimmering skin Perfector in Moonstone: It is whiter than Thebalm Mary Lou Manizer. It is highly pigmented, I only need small amount for each use. It gives intense glow more suitable for occasional wear but for daily use it can be applied light handed.

Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 hour Highlighter in Exposed: It is darker than other highlighters, but looks more shiny and glittery on my light to medium skin tone.  It is more powdery and you need to use it carefully.

My favourite is Becca Moonstone, while The Balm Mary Lou Manizer is great for subtle glow. Tarte highlighter is my least favourite as it is more golden and has some glitter too.

Full Brow Brighten Up Eye Cream and Brow Highlighter Review

Available at David Jones, Adore Beauty, Style Patisserie and Full brow official website.

Have you heard about full brow? there are not so many online reviews about them. I was lucky to win Full Brow Brighten Up Eye Cream in their Instagram competition. They were generous enough and send me brow highlighter and a pretty makeup bag with my prize.

No doubt, I was super excited about these gorgeous products. I am using them since last few weeks and honestly I am blown away by their quality.  Full brow products have prettiest packing and they are made in Italy. Here is a full review of these two products.

Swatches from left to right - Full Brow Brighten Up Eye Cream and Brow Highlighter

Full Brow Brighten Up Eye Cream
It is velvety white coloured cream and has some shimmers. It  is easy to apply, hydrates my under eye area and help to brighten up.  I used it under and over makeup and it works well in both ways. I feel that my  eyes look much fresher and younger with this cream

You can see the swatches, it  really brighten up my skin.

Full Brow Highlighter
It has soft creamy texture and glides smoothly on my skin. I used it under my brows and in the inner corners of my eyes. I also tried it on my cheekbones and nose. On my warm skin tone, this highlighter works great. It gives me a perfect subtle glow which looks very natural. It is long lasting and do last for a long time without fading.

Overall, I love both of these products, now they are available at David Jones. You can check them and swatch them in store any time.

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Cream Review

Price: 29$-105$ From David Jones, Myer, Mecca, Sephora, Adore Beauty and Clinique official website

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Cream comes in a glazed jar with silver lid. The cream is not fragranced which is good. It has very light smell which is not so overpowering.  The cream has thick consistency and feels velvety smooth on application. I only need small amount to cover my entire face and neck. It takes some time to absorb and instantly make my skin moisturized. My dry skin feels silky smooth as it works like a drink.

It also keeps my skin hydrated for hours, I do not need to reapply it. I used it under makeup and found that it does not affect the longevity of my make up. After few days of uses, It increased moisture level of my skin. My dry patches are disappear and my skin feels fresh, healthy and nourished.

Overall,  I like Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Cream, it works really very well with my dry dehydrated skin. According to the CLinique website, this cream is recommended for skin type 1 which means very dry and dry.

Have you tried any skin care from Clinique? love to hear your thoughts

Quick Swatch - MAC Lipstick in Velvet Teddy

Price: 36$ from Myer, Davidjones and MAC website

MAC Velvet Teddy Swatch
I bought it without trying it in store as tester was finished. I do not have many nude lipsticks but I feel that after this I do not need more.

I have naturally pigmented lips, when I used it for the first time, it looks little bit dull. Next time I used it after covering my lips with base product and then it really looked intense.  This lipstick is highly pigmented, transfer a little bit and  last for 4-5hours with eating and drinking.

Overall, I like this iconic shade and it is perfect nude for light skin tones.  But I think it may not work well  for medium to dark skin tones

Loreal vs Maybelline Cushion Foundation

Drugstore Cushion foundations introduced last year, I have tried L'oreal Paris Nude Magique Cushion foundation , you can find details here. Few months back, I got the opportunity to try Maybelline Dream Cushion foundation as well. Here is a quick comparison of both products.

  • Both comes in a similar packing with sponge and mirror. Both looks dark in the pan but actually the colour is lighter
  • L'oreal contain 14.6g  product and sold for 29.95$ while Maybelline also has 14.6g  product and sold for 26.95$  so not a huge difference of price and product quantity.
  • Both are very easy to apply and blend due to their unique cream to liquid formula, Both provide medium coverage. L'oreal hast SPF 29 while Maybelline has SPF 40 more suitable for Australian sun.
  • L'oreal gives me luminous finish while Maybelline provides matte finish.
  • The formula of L'oreal foundation is hydrating while Maybelline formula is not musch hydrating.
  • L'oreal foundation is not highly pigmented and does not provide full coverage. Myabelline is more pigmented provide better coverage. It is more suitable to cover acne marks, pigmentation and blemishes.
  • Both foundations last for more than 7 hours on my face. Also I live in Canberra which has cold and dry weather so my foundation longevity is not affected by heat and humidity.
Final Verdict: I actually like both products but for my dry skin L'oreal did a better job.  It is hydrating and gives me natural long lasting finish. Also I do not have acne or pigmentation so coverage is not a big issue for me. I feel that Maybelline is more suitable for normal, combination skin beauties, and for those who wants better coverage.
