Benefit Hoola Bronzer- worth the hype?

Price: 26$-53$  from Myer, Adore Beauty, Benefit website and Sephora

Benefit Hoola Bronzer swatch

Actually I was looking for a contouring product as most of them are ashy, too brown or too dark for  me. I am using Hoola bronzer for last few  month and I am very happy with the results. It is perfect shade for contouring, smoothly blends into the skin and looks very natural.

Benefit Hoola  comes in attractive boxed packing with brush which is not very bad and can be used (unlike other brushes). It is highly pigmented, applies and blends smoothly with out ashy and patchy looks. It  do last for long time up to 8+ hours, so it stays on my face for entire day.

It truly worths the hype and it is perfect for pale light skin tones. It is expensive but mini is now available for 26$ which is more budget friendly

Benefit Hoola is more suitable for light, pale and fair skin tones, may be it will not work well as contouring product on medium to dark and very dark skin tones.

Have you tried this hyped products? what is your favourite contouring product. I love to hear from you.

Neutrogena Deep Clean Micellar gel to Foam Cleanser* for Dry Skin Review

Price:16.99$ from supermarkets and pharmacies

Neutrogena Deep Clean Micellar gel to foam cleanser comes in round bottle with pump which is very easy to use. But the bottle is not pretty at all, it is very similar to men's shaving gel.

The cleansing gel is transparent and has truly gel like consistency. It has light fragrance which is not overpowering. The gel leathers well and make tiny bubbles. I only need small amount like one pump is enough for me. It applies smoothly, does not feel sticky and removes easily with few splashes of water. It cleans my face very well with out leaving greasy residue. I used it twice a day and it is very gentle on my dry skin. I feel that my skin is clean, fresh and well hydrated after each use. It does not stripe my skin and does not make dry areas worse.I have sensitive skin and this cleanser does not cause any negative reaction or breakouts.

An other good thing about this cleanser is its ability to remove makeup. Being busy mum, I find it hard to remove my make up but with this cleanser I get ready to sleep in one simple step. It removes my make up like foundations, BB or CC creams, blushes, non waterproof mascara.

Currently I am in Love with this cleanser, I am very happy to find this two in one product. It is ideal for busy girls and mums who can not use separate products to remove make up. I can recommend it for normal, dry, mature or sensitive skin beauties.

* This products is provided for review purpose but it does not affect my opinion.

Natural Instinct Skin Care Review

I received four product as part of  the natural 6 weeks skincare Challenge. Here is my thoughts on these products.

Natural Instinct Refreshing Foaming Cleanser, Plump and Renew Serum, Dark Circle+Wrinkle correction Eye Cream Nourishing Facial Moisturiser
From left to right
Natural Instinct Refreshing Foaming Cleanser, Plump and Renew Serum, Dark Circle+Wrinkle correction Eye Cream and Nourishing Facial Moisturiser

There are few common things in these 4 products

  • They have nice packing which keep the ingredients safe from light, air and bacteria.
  • They are fragrance free, but they do contain very light smell, which is not overpowering.
  • They contain skin beneficial ingredients, antioxidants, skin repairing ingredients and vitamins
  • They are free from parabens, sulphates and 400 potentially harmful ingredients.

Natural Instinct Refreshing Foaming Cleanser
It comes in an easy to use tube packing. The cleanser is transparent and has gel like consistency, it does not leather very well but make few bubbles. In the first few days after using it I washed my face several time, I felt like it left residue on my face. Now I realized that I was using too much and, I should leather it first in my hands and then apply on my face. It does clean impurities and sebum,it also removes light make up like BB cream or non water proof mascara. The cleanser is hydrating and does not strip my skin, it is good for dry skin beauties.

Natural Instinct Plump and Renew Serum
The serum comes in a small bottle with a pump. It has nice consistency and on my skin it absorbs quickly with out leaving any greasy residue. It hydrates with out causing any negative reaction. Also I noticed that my pores are tighter with regular use, also my skin is well nourished and looking fresher.

Natural Instinct Dark Circle+Wrinkle Correction Eye Cream
My favourite product in this parcel is this eye cream. It has nice tube packing with nozzle. it is  creamy and absorbs quickly into my skin. I am using it for few weeks now and I feel that my dark circles are disappearing. It is not very noticeable now but I hope regular results will bring more improvements.

Natural Instinct Nourishing Facial Moisturiser
The moisturiser comes in a nice tube packing. It has creamy thick consistency and has light smell. I need to use very small amount for my entire face, which means the tube will last for long time. It applies and absorbs easily into my skin leaving it soft and hydrated. It is very moisturising and if you apply too much, it will make your face greasy.

Final Verdict:
  • All of them have not reacted to my dry sensitive skin.
  • All of these products are very easy to use, The cleanser does not strip my skin while other products absorb quickly with out leaving any greasy residue.
  • My skin is well hydrated during this trial and dry patches are disappeared. I  do not have wrinkles or pigmentation so can not comment on it.
  • My favourite product is dark circle and wrinkle correction eye cream, it is very hydrating and it lightened my dark circles a little.
  • An other favourite is Plump and Renew Serum, it is great to use in this summer when my skin is not very dry. I see the difference when I stopped using it, it makes my skin tighter and nourished.
Overall, Natural Instinct is a good addition in skin care products. They are great for those who are looking for affordable anti aging products and have normal to dry skin. I will not recommend these product for those who have severe acne problem because they do not claim to work for acne.

Chi Chi Glamorous Smokeys Eye Shadow Palette Review

Price:22.95$ from Target, Myer and  online

Swatches from left to right
Here is my thoughts on this palette.
  • The palette comes in a slim but strong plastic packing with sponge applicators.
  • It contains matte and shimmery eye shadows which are suitable for smokey eyes.
  • The formula is really very good, all shades are creamy and pigmented, you do not need to rub your brush to the product. One swipe is enough to show intense colour.
  • The shades are very easy to work, they apply and blend effortlessly.
  • They last for up to 7+ hours on my eyes which is very good for drugstore palettes.
  • I do like some of the shades in this palette but colour selection of this palette is not very good, most of the shades are similar to each other. You can see that  4,5, 8 ,9 and 12 are very similar even you can tell the difference in these swatches.
  • Some shades have glitter, which does not look very good on application.
  • This palette is good for smokey eyes and Halloween make up.
Overall I like the formula, pigmentation, longevity of this palette but I do not like the shade selection. If you are looking for good quality eyeshadow palettes, have a look at Chi Chi. There are some great palettes with very good shade selection but this one is not must have.

Three Eyeliners to Try

I have used a number of eyeliners, some work well and some are just OK. I have found that these three eyeliners are very easy to use, long lasting and smudge free. They are truly worth trying with out breaking the banks.

Swatches from left to right
Face of Australia Liquid Eyeliner in brown, Savvy Long Wear Eyeliner in Chocolate and Maybelline Hyper Sharp Wing Eyeliner in Black

Face of Australia Liquid Eyeliner(8.95$): It is one of the best liquid eyeliners, I love its brush and it is very easy to apply. The colour is very pigmented and long lasting.

Savvy Long Wear Eyeliner(6.99$): A pencil eyeliner, long lasting, creamy and glides smoothly on eyelids.

Maybelline Hyper Sharp Wing Eyeliner (17.95$): I know it is expensive but Maybelline often goes on 50% off sale. It is a Pen eyeliner and you can use its tip as thick and thin application. It is very easy to apply and great for winged eyeliner.

Have you tried any of them? love to hear your thoughts.

Models Prefer CC Cream: A truly colour corrector cream, It perfectly covers imperfections, It is great for no make up looks too.

Natural Instinct Eye Cream: Currently I am using Natural Instinct Skin care and this eye cream is my favourite in their range. It does not contain Alcohol  and it is almost fragrance free, quickly absorbs and hydrates well. It has not reduced my dark circles yet but I hope regular use will bring some improvement.

Rimmel 1000 Kisses Stay On Lip Liner: I bought it for 3.50$ from Priceline when rimmel had 5$ off on lips, and it is creamy, soft and long lasting.

Illamasqua Blush: This pink and peach blush duo has the most beautiful shades which are flattering for my skin tone.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara: My favourite mascara this month, gives my lashes length and curl.
