Essence Match to cover cream concealer

<a href="">Follow my blog with Bloglovin</a>

Price: 4.25$ from Priceline, Target and selected Pharmacies

In terms of packing Essence Match to cover cream concealer is dupe of Bobbi brown creamy concealer kit. I did not own Bobbi Brown concealer but I have red very good review about it.

Bought it during 40% off Priceline sale. It has nice lovely packing with affordable price. Both shades are suitable for fair skin but still dark one work for me. It looks creamy in its packing but actually it is not so creamy and pigmented. I have to do struggle to get the product out. I only use dark colour to cover acne marks and blemishes as light one is too light for me. It does not work for dark acne marks and only cover light marks. I do not recommend to use it around eyes as it is hard to apply and blend in delicate eye area while it also looks dry and patchy around my eyes.

I am not over the moon with this product, its an OK concealer. As with such a low price, I did not expect much. Cosmetics are so expensive in Australia, for this price you will not find decent product from any other brand.

I do not recommend it for all skin tones, this is only suitable for fair coloured beauties.

Dupe Alert: L'oreal Paris Revitalift Magic Blur

Price: 24.95$ from Priceline, Chemist Warehouse, Target, Supermarket.

This product is perfect dupe of Benefit Porefessional with the friction of price. Its formula, texture and results are similar to Benefit Porefessional (But not 100% same as the main ingredient of Benefit porefessional Cyclopentasiloxane is absent in this dupe).

Loreal Paris Revitalift Magic Blur comes in sleek red tube with a nozzle which is very easy to use. The cream itself has white colour which disappears after application. It has silky velvety texture, applies smoothly and blends easily.

This Magic Blur truly gives instant matte finish with blurred imperfections.  I apply it on my open pores and they looks smaller. I  have some fine lines on my forehead and it also work very well to blur them. It improves skin texture by smoothing the appearance of fine lines and pores while it does not completely disappear them . I do not have wrinkles on my face so can not tell about its affects on wrinkles. I applied foundation over it and my skin looks almost flawless. My normal foundation (Maybelline dream mousse) lasts for longer time when applied over Magic Blur.  I have been using it for few days and have not find any allergic reaction or breakouts. I must say that it is suitable for sensitive skin type. As I have dry /combination skin now a days, so I can not tell about its oil controlling ability for very oily skin, but it works well on my slightly oily T-Zone. I do not have wrinkles on my face so can not tell about its affects on wrinkles.

This cream does not have SPF which means it is ideal for photography but you should add sunscreen when going outside. A pea size amount of the product is enough to cover entire face while I use it only on targeted ares where i have open pore. This 30ml Tube will last for 18 months which make it more budget friendly as compared to benefit porefessionl.

I have also found some issues with this product. I have read information and list of ingredients on its packing.
  • You can see on its packing that women aged 40-60 are highlighted while I find that this product is suitable for all age groups.
  • It does not give any lifting affect on your face while revitalift rang is designed for.
  • In the ingredients list I have seen that it does not contain anti-aging ingredient, although on packing L'oreal claims that after using it for one month, you will notice improvement in wrinkles and pores. I do not believe that after using a silicon based product for only one month, it can do any thing with wrinkles and pores. (Be realistic when it comes to anti aging)
  • L'oreal does not advertise it as Primer, they say that it is treatment. While I must say that it is an excellent primer, makeup glides on it smoothly and last for long time.
Overall, I love love this product, Its a perfect dupe of Benefit Porefessional.  If you love Porefessional, you will love it, it is not so expensive and often goes on sale. I wish l'oreal release its sample so more women can try before buy.

I highly recommend it for normal, mature, dry, sensitive and combination skin type while for oily skin, you can try its tester in store. You do not need to apply it on entire face, you can just use it on targeted areas for blurring affects.I do not recommend it for those who do not like benefit porefessional or can not use silicon based product.

Essence Silky Touch Blush Review

Price:4.50$ from Priceline, Target and selected pharmacies.
Note: This product can also be used as eyeshadow

This blush is adorable, I am so happy that I discovered this. For the price I must say it is a steal. I bought it during Priceline 40% off sale. I paid only 2.55$ for it and was not expecting a lot but this product impressed me.
It has small cute packing made with strong transparent plastic which is also suitable for travelling. It does not come with brush which is not a problem for me, as mostly these brushes are just crap. This blush comes in variety of shades suitable for all skin tones, I own  shade Life's Cherry  which is a bit darker and vibrant than others. The best part of this product is the blush itself. The blush is fragrance free, finely milled, silky and highly pigmented with little shimmer. A gentle touch to product is enough for use, as I experienced that most of drugstore blushes are hard to use and you need to rub the brush hardly on the product to but this one is different. Its finely milled powder is very easily to apply. It glides smoothly on my checks with out falling out and blends beautifully into my skin. It looks great on my face, does not highlight dry patches or does not settle into line and pores. It has very good staying power and on my face it lasts for more than 6 hours. As I have sensitive skin I used it regularly and it really suits me. It did not break me out and did not cause any allergic reaction. I also use this as eye shadow and it works well as blush as well as eye shadow.

I recommend it for every one. All shades are highly pigmented with little shimmer.

Cover girl outlast lipcolour

Price:20.95 $ from Priceline, Bigw, Target and supermarkets

I purchased this lip colour because I really need a long lasting lipstick. I own shade Cinnamon Stick which is bold orange brown mix , ideal for medium skin tone.

Cover girl outlast lipcolour comes in pack with two lippies, one for colour and one for hydration, both are nicely presented. The tip of colour gloss is standard and feels soft on my lips. Coloured gloss is very well pigmented and apply smoothly on my lips. It provide full coverage with vibrant colour, it is not so runny or watery and take few seconds to dry. The lip balm is also very moisturising. This lipcolor stays on my lips for long time even after drinking and eating, its still there. I have dry lips so I applied it after moisturising. It is felt bit drying but I think all long lasting lipsticks have this kind of formula. I really like this lip colour because of it consistency and staying power.
I highly recommended if for those who want long lasting vibrant colour. Those who have dry lips should exfoliate and moisturise them before apply this lip colour.

Maybelline New york FIT me Shine Free Foundation Stick Natural beige

Price: 15.95$ from Priceline, Chemist Warehouse, Target, Big W and Supermarkets

I have combination skin in summer and its always hard to find foundation which work well on dry patches and oily T-zone.

Maybelline Fit me Natural beige 220 swatch
    Swatch after blending

Maybelline Fit me foundation stick comes in sleek black packing with twist function. This foundation stick is handy and ideal for handbag. I have tried shade Natural beige which is perfect for my skin tone, although itlooks lighter in packing. It is fragrance free which makes it suitable for sensitive skin

This foundation has creamy soft texture and glides smoothly on my skin. It is very easily to apply, does not dry quickly and blends easily with out any hassle. As I have used some other foundation stick in past but did not like them much because of their hard  texture but this one is very different in its texture. When I applied this first time, I just rubbed the stick all over my face and ended up applying too much product which looks cakey. Then I realised that I do not need to use too much product, just few swipes are enough then I need to blend it. I must say that applying too much foundation can give you cakey unnatural finish. During trial period, I used fingers and sponge to apply them but found that sponge are more useful for blending. This foundation is non transferable, I have not found it staining my clothes.

This foundation gives flawless skin with matte finish. It does not oxidize and gives me light to medium coverage which is buildable. It covers light acne marks, redness, blue veins and brown spots very well, but if you have very dark marks or spots you will need to cover them with concealer. It also blurs large pores and minimise their appearance. It does not highlight dry patches on my face as I used it over my normal moisturiser. It looks very natural on my skin without giving heavy or cakey skin.  I also find that I do not need to use setting powder over it because it gives almost cream to powder finish, I only use powder on oily T-zone, while other face still looks perfect without any powder.

It has decent staying power and lasts for more than 6 hours on my skin. My T- zone gets a bit oily after 4-5 hours but I reapply it easily on that areas. I also realised that this foundation is great for touch ups as liquid foundation are not so easy to reapply.

This foundation does not contain SPF and it also looks great in photos. During day time when go outside I  apply sun block underneath it for sun protection. I used it regularly for almost 10 day, and have not find any bad reaction, irritated eyes or breakout. I have sensitive skin and its always hard to find suitable product as in the past some product caused me allergic reaction or irritated my eyes but I am satisfy with this foundation. I recommend it for combination, normal and sensitive skin types. I do not recommend it for those who have dry skin, very oily skin  or severe acne. Although this foundation advertised as shine free, but i feel that it is more suitable for normal and combination skin and for those who do not need full coverage foundation.

My Rating: 4/5

Max Factor Wild Shadow - Pot and Pencil Review

Wild shadow Pencil*: 12.95$
Wild shadow Pot*: 12.95$

Last year Max factor released Wild side collection which was targeted for young girls. I won Wild side prize pack during promotion on their Facebook page.

Wild Shadow Liner                    Wild shadow Pot (dry brush)
 Swatches in Artificial light

Wild Shadow Liner                     Wild shadow Pot (dry brush)
Swatches in sunlight
Shadow Pot swatch using wet brush in artificial light

Wild shadow pencil has pretty black packing with colored cap. The pencil does not have twist function, you need to sharp it  after few uses. Wild shadow pencil feels very soft upon application and glides smoothly on my eyes. It is very well pigmented and gives nice color with shimmer. It has very good staying power and last for more than 6 hours with out smudging. Wild shadow pencil is available in 8 different colors, I own Fierce Lime shade which is I think the wildest shade (not for everyday use) in their collection. Although I will not use that shade much but i like this pencil, Its texture and staying power is really impressive. If you are interested to buy shadow pencil, this rang is ideal for you. You will not be disappointed by this product.

Wild Shadow pot has simple packing, it comes in round small pot with transparent plastic lid. It looks cute and being small its ideal for travel but it can break easily. Wild Shadow pots are available in 20 colours. The eye shadow itself is shimmery and it need multiple layers to show the color. I own Wild Shadow in shade Golden Amazon which looks greenish in pot while on application it looks almost light golden. This shade does fall out upon application and its glitter is hard to remove. You need to take extra care when working with this product. This shadow pot can also be used with wet brush. When i applied it with wet brush, It feels very pigmented with out any fall out and only one layer is enough to show color.  The shadow looks good (not chalky) on application (both by dry or wet brush)and last for really very long time, more than 6 hours.

Finally I do like both products but Wild Shadow Pencil is my favorite. I really like its packing, texture and staying power. This pencil is also very good for beginner as well for travelling.

*I won these products in a competition but it does not affect my opinion. I am loyal to my readers
